Moses made a special request to God at the end of his life saying, “Let my teaching fall like rain and may my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.” ( NIV)
Drawing upon the imagery of water and its integral part in the life of young plants, Moses paints a beautiful picture of the effect that a godly example, in word and deed, has on those who are receptive. For parents the application of this truth is even more appropriate. Thinking of children as “tender plants” who need the “abundant rain” of godly “teaching” is an apt illustration of the ministry of parents to their children.
Knowing that parents are the primary influence in the lives of children, the Children’s Ministries of Heritage Baptist is "partnering with parents to raise kids who know, show, and grow in Jesus."
